Tata Consultancy Services (TCS),one of the major IT company in India, has commenced the construction of its first development centre on the Technopark campus.

The development centre spans one million sq. ft. and is being constructed on 26 acres of SEZ land in the first phase. Technopark authorities have already given the nod for the company’s uniquely-designed signature building. The new building has been planned to aesthetically merge with the environment and will have all inbuilt mechanisms to conserve and protect the environment

Technopark authorities have already given the nod for the company’s uniquely-designed signature building. The new building has been planned to aesthetically merge with the environment and will have all inbuilt mechanisms to conserve and protect the environment. “This is a good news for us at Technopark as it will create high-paying jobs and will contribute significantly to our export figures,” said Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark. “This decision by the TCS will also encourage other IT majors who are not present to move into Technopark,” he added.

“Though the TCS was one of the first entrants to Technopark, it did not have a development centre here but have its Global Training Centre on the campus here. “With the new building coming up, the TCS will add additional employment to the extent of 8,000 professionals in Technopark. The company is already looking for temporary space to commence the operations without waiting for the building to be ready,” Alexander said. TCS is also likely to start the construction of their global training facility in Technocity in an area of 82 acres. This will be one of the largest training facilities for any sector in the country.

Sorry for the lack of clarity, as getting in to focus was difficult, while zooming in 10X in an ascending & tilting aircraft.

You can see the site on the left hand side where the hydraulic rigs are working day in and out.

South block 1 - Construction of third floor going on..
North block 1 - Construction of first floor going on..

There is a change in the design shown above

There are only four towers with G+5 floors and a utility block & a cafeteria
Cafeteria is a single storied building..
and it will be having a seperate entry from NH.

Hi all, I am new to this forum. Can someone tell me, where exactly this construction is going on ? I could see two vessel shaped buildings of Infosys while passing through train from kazhakootam to Trivandrum.. Is this new TCS building somewhere near to this ? Thanks for the updates.

You cannot view the TCS u/c building from the Train. The location of this one is right inside the Technopark Campus and this can be viewed only if you enter the main gate.

I don't know if the 2,000,000 SF figure has been confirmed yet. Btw, the FAR within SEZs is 3.25, so 24 acres can support 3.5 Million SF - just to nitpick!

Great going by TCS, I hope that work on their mammoth Technocity campus starts soon.

Considering that over 60,000 techies would be trained their each year, it wouldn't be surprising if they did expand the DC.
