This and Civic Place in Parramatta make me wonder whether we'll see iconic structures outside the Sydney CBD at all.

Chatswood has been waiting a long time for the shops/restauarants/food court/Woolworths supermarket for a long time.
And the 3 towers. The people who bought off the plan must be nervous waiting. But the current dispute has been ongoing for about 9 months so a solution may not be far off. |

![]() On the topic of Woolworths - is there no actual Woolworths supermarket in Chatswood? If there isn't, that's incredible for a suburb of its size!

![]() And a Coles at Chatswood Chase? There seem to be a lot of double ups in Chatswood with other retailers but it's pretty amazing that there is no Woolworths (or Big W for that matter?)

There is no resumption of work. Just a couple of random crane movements.
Talking of cranes... ![]() ![]()

And here is another render. It will be a while before these 3 buildings are real.
From the west side. From Railway street entrance.

Awesome render!
A perfect picture of TOD that should be replicated at more stations around the city.

Hopefully by the time they are up, the shop fronts around Chatswood Station will have been completed..
What exactly happened with those by the way? It's such a good opportunity.

Legal disputes have stopped work on the podium.

Who is the legal dispute between?
Is the dispute in court or being negotiated in private? Seems to be different views on where the discussions are up to. What about all the people who paid 10% deposit on these apartments - I remember seeing them queued outside the display centre. What is the situation there? Some owners / investors must be getting upset with the continued delays. Wonder what was in the contract they signed. |

Dispute is between Precision group who own the podium/shops and the receivers. Until this is resolved Hutchison/developers cant restart construction.
The people who bought off the plan have a longer wait. I dont know what exactly was in the contracts. But there would be a standard way of handling constuction delays in a sales contract. see http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...6&postcount=78 |

Chatswood Station is actually quite impressive. I particularly like the Victoria Avenue Mall entrance to the station with the high roof. Checked out Emporis and it says Chatswood has 16 towers over 70m in height with its tallest being Citadel Tower 1 at 110m. It is quite staggering really to think that there are 6 x 100m+ towers (including 2 x 150m+ towers) approved (and 1 x U/C) for Chatswood. Talk about a boom!

Here is view from north on 26th apr.
We can see the 2 tower cranes. The first two shorter towers are be started first - tower 3 (metro view) and tower 2 (metro spire).

That would be correct - according to skyscrapercenter..
There are 3 above 100m and 2 proposed.

And I think all of the buildings under construction and proposed in Chatswood are residential?
Residentials struggle for height against commercial because floor heights are smaller. |

They are more flexible but the plus is that you can add more floors which means more apartments and more money for the developer.
![]() These ones are giants for Chatswood.
