did you notice some works being done in the cavitex before reaching the MIA road northbound.. looks like they are going to widen it..
another update is that. one lane southbound is closed since it looks like they are starting to elevate the road to its optimum height.. |

On your way to Cavite from tramo or terminal 3,
Airport road corner Roxas Blvd. intersection is now closed to traffic. No more left turn to roxas blvd. You have to go back to EDSA area. Longos area, buti naman at kumikilos na ang roadworks. |

In comparison, CAVITEX which almost 7 km. class 1 is P 64.00
SKYWAY terminal 3 to Amorsolo, Makati about 5 Km. only P 20.00 (from previous P85.00) Laki ng discrepancy, How do they compute toll fees. Di kaya overpriced kasi ang costing ng CAVITEX? |

Parang ganun na nga. Malaki ata naubos na pera nila Luis Virata sa paggawa niyan.

Tagal din kami tumira sa Cavite from 1992 til 2007, sa Silang kami and my dad used to work for then Cavite Gov Bong Revilla. I can say na nakita ko yung development ng Cavite during those years lalo sa Dasmarinas-Silang-GMA-Carmona area, pero yung traffic noon pa man na-anticipate na pero wala namang concrete actions na nangyari, not until recently with Cavitex at yung Daang Hari-SLEX.
Naalala ko dati, my dad would show me Bong Revilla's plan para sa worsening traffic condition sa Cavite nung mga late 90's pa lang. I remember there was the single BRT system, LRT extension all the way up to Dasmarinas and even a railway within the province. Pero di ko na alam kung ano na nangyari sa mga plano na yan sa Cavite. |

it appears they are trying to elevate the road. Maybe the reclaimed land used at CAVITEX is sinking

How bad is Cavitex?
I havent used this tollroad yet. Is it not par with NLEX or SLEX considering these tollroads are now the minimum benchmark. |

Personally, I haven't used Cavitex either, so I couldn't really offer much of an opinion whether it is sub par or at par relative to NLEX or SLEX, even though I often pass by it through Coastal Road. But the one thing that really irks me, especially in Longos area where the start of the Cavitex meets the Coastal Road, is that the project has been dragging for as long as one could remember. To say that the progress of this project is underwhelming is a very big understatement. You could not even really envision the final outcome of this project, unlike, for example, the completion of the Skyway Stage 2 project. When it was being constructed, I pass by SLEX periodically or whenever I have a chance to use SLEX, just to see the progress being undertaken as time pass by, and I am not disappointed with its progress. On the other hand, whenever I see the Longos area near the entrance of Cavitex, only one thing comes to my mind, that is, Murphy's Law, ""Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong".

If I may ask, I saw in the google map a big parcel of land between Cavitex and Covelandia road immediately after Island Cove. Any idea what would be the development on that area?
