Most of the west of the country used to be marshland, so yes. When an old building's face is leaning forward however, then it's probably an intentional architectural feature to facilitate pulleys hooked to the top of the building, carrying stuff to the upper floors.

now I know that Edam is a city and the cheese was named after this.
This is a lovely place and I particularly like the store selling cheese. |
