I see Marbella Bay have an update. www.manazil-uae.com/progress/. Completion now down for August 2012 (was April 2012), with delay down to lack of infrastructure.... hmmmmm. BUT it looks pretty well on, painted, car park spaces, GM appointed etc... so worth a look.

Interesting to see how Marbella Bay has come on. When I was there 11 months ago, Marbella Bay was just a shell, pretty much at the same constuction state as Pacific was at that time, so interesting to see what Selects update consists of (whenever it materialises). What this goes to show is that it is possible to complete to this stage with the infrastructure and utilites that are in place at present !!!!!!!! So if one company can do it .....

What does it mean for us? do we have to continue with llp payment or stop to paying? in that case would it be breach of contract?
we need to form group and write to them for payment break until completion date.
any thought?

Force Majeure
We were told in an early update that the redesign and piling issues would not effect the completion date so not sure they can use these problems?

Guys, how many time have we been reminding you that this forum is about updates and NO legal or litigation issues? Please discuss those elsewhere in the internet, the relations between developers and investors is not the topic of this forum.

Thank you!

Well,
if you are a Pacific investor and would like to share your thoughts, info, and discuss legal or ill...., no just legal matters, you are welcome at a forum that I set up.
I personally don't want to be yelled at in REEEEDDDDDD!
Now, AltinD might have a point, but we have an alternative, so everyone can be happy.
Here you go:
http://pacificrak.lefora.com

Please write your Pacific building and apartment number since this is only for investors in Pacific.
Would I be checking? No,but trying to get people invested in that project a place to communicate directly.
Thanks.

Guys, this board was not created to be a platform for those who have problems with their real estate investment. We're here to share updates, photo's and enthusiasm for the built environment, and not to be in between these parties who have a legal dispute.

It's not difficult to create your own platform to discuss these issues, and it seems someone already created one for this project. Please go here to continue: http://pacificrak.lefora.com.

Cheers,
Jan

Yes, this forum is about enthusiasm, if you have a problem with that, you are welcomed to go elsewhere and not to return .... or we (the moderators of this forum) will make it impossible for you to continue frequenting the forum (i.e. ban you from accessing this site)

May as well shut down the SSC Northern Emirates threads as I suspect a distinct lack of any enthusiasm for a long time. It is a shame as SSC is a good place for investors to come together to get enthusiastic about saving their investment. This is as important as pandering to the will of the developer. A lot of people would have lost a lot more money on Blu M if SSC hadn't been the place to bring investors together. There does come a point when you need to move away from SSC onto a more secure platform as the developers watch and read SSC and there is no point in giving away your strategy secrets. I suspect that by Select putting pressure on SSC this told investors enough about them to make a decision re not remaining enthusiastic about future payments.

When we created the UAE section, frankly speaking, we didn't care of any of it. Just leave the arguing for elsewhere in Internet.

Well said!
It got to the stage that I would only read this thread when I was really happy with life, as after reading the dismal posts I felt utterly depressed and suicidal and I would start on the Rum and things just got worse from then on, I am an investor in this project and we are still wearing our shirts, stick with it it will come right, I mentioned a long time back we should look at a boat house and some moorings for residents boats, maybe a launch ramp!!

pacific and select are just great. who cares about delays etc. the rooftop pool looked great in the picture, it could have been slightly bigger, but hey! who i am to complain.

I totally agree with the moderators by the way. you read any threads on SSC not just northern emirates, any UAE, Dubai threads, they are all full of enthusiasm.
