jrb - while it's obviously a good thing that City's ticket prices are relatively low, you have to remember the advantage that your club has in that respect.
It's much easier for City to keep ticket prices low than it is for clubs that have to pay their own way. Now, just in case you were moved to get hot under the collar and accuse me of complaining about the way City operate (it has happened before!), let me stress that I'm doing no such thing. I'm simply pointing out a fact. City can compete - more than compete, in fact - without having to maximize every revenue stream at the moment. They can outspend pretty much every other team in the Premier League (both in terms of transfer fees and wages) without having to squeeze every last penny out of the fans. That's great for you guys. But most other clubs don't have that luxury. If they wish to compete anywhere near the top end of the transfer market or pay anything like top wages, then they have to exploit their fan base to the max. Sad but true. So while City get a pat on the back for keeping ticket prices low, it should come with the acknowledgement that it is far easier for them to do so than it is for other clubs. |

Newcastle have signed Amalfitano from Reims on a four year deal. It will be on a free transfer as his contract with Reims end either next month or the month after.

12 match ban is harsh, personally I'd want to give him a medal but I can live with a 6 match ban.

I've said for at least 2 seasons now that we should have a punt on Yoan Gourcuff.
