di quelli letti finora (io parlo come concept sportivo, impianti, spread geografico, cluster...):
- Baku, non mi sembra niente male, ma troppe cose temporanee anche per sport importanti, come se non puntasse su un "futuro sportivo"

- Doha, per nulla affascinante. quasi il il 60% pianificate (figuriamoci se coi soldi che hanno non le fanno) ma poi mi chiedo che legacy potranno avere, oltre ai problemi umani e di carta olimpica non secondari

- Roma (RITIRATA ovviamente), mi aspettavo qualcosa di più compatto ma quasi nulla è temporaneo, molto già esistente con lavori da fare solo per l'occasione e pochissimo da costruire (solo per sport "secondari" anche se il termine non mi piace). Forse sarebbe da ripensare il cluster dell'EUR.

PRO:
- La Turchia non ha mai organizzato i Giochi e ci prova per la 5° volta
- Sarebbe la prima città in due continenti in contemporanea (sebbene non i primi Giochi in due continenti- a Melboune 56 ippica fatta a Stoccolma)
-Primi Giochi estivi in paese islamico in concorrenza con Doha e Baku
- Economia turca

CONTRO:
- Dispersione delle sedi, molto distanti fra loro
- Molti (troppi) impianti e trasporti solo in progetto
- Nuovo stadio (Bosforo) esclusivamente per le cerimonie, atletica e finale calcio in stadi esistenti che hanno bisogno di lavori

Delle 5 candidature sono state eliminate quelle di Baku (Azerbaijan) e Doha (Qatar).

Rimangono:

1. MADRID
2. ISTANBUL
3. TOKYO

Madrid sarebbe ridicolo vista la gravissima crisi economica. Io spero in Tokyo, dopo terremoto e tsunami che avrebbe atterrato qlsiasi paese si sono ripresi alla grande.

I primi tre sono i più belli ma anche i più irrealizzabili.

Quello di Zaza costerebbe da solo 5 miliardi di euro.

Quelli di Azuka Sekke e Gorell invece si integrano perfettamente nel territorio ma non sono abbastanza landmark.

Alla fine se dire uno tra Sanaa e Cox.

Ma stiamo ancora nel campo dei se.

IMHO andranno ad Istanbul, se non le assegnano prima gli europei !

Architect Zaha Hadid wins bid to design Tokyo’s new national stadium

Japan’s Sport Council announced the winner of a contest to design a new national stadium in Tokyo with a budget of over $1 billion. The contract was awarded to the U.K.’s Zaha Hadid, who is now responsible for building the stadium that will be a key focus of Tokyo’s bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games, as well as house the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
Born in Iraq, Hadid has previously designed the Aquatics Centre in London, used for the 2012 Olympics, and became the first female architect to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. The winning design features her signature futuristic style with flowing lines, with an overall shape similar to a bicycle helmet. The stadium will have a retractable roof, enough seats for 80,000 people, and is expected to cost around 130 billion yen (approx. $1.62 billion). The new stadium’s location will also have significance, as it is to be built in the place of the old national stadium that hosted the Tokyo Olympics in 1964.

Japanese architect Tadao Ando, who served as the leading judge over the submissions, said Hadid’s design complemented Tokyo’s crowded landscape with its fluidity, as well as met the requirements of being environmentally efficient and able to be completed by 2019. Tsunekazu Takeda, president of the Japanese Olympic Committee, also praised the design, calling it “the best of the best.” Construction on the new national stadium is scheduled to begin in late 2015, shortly after the old stadium is torn down.

Tokyo hasn’t officially been named as host of the 2020 Olympics, as the International Olympic Committee won’t announce their choice between Madrid, Spain; Istanbul, Turkey; and the Japanese capital until September of next year. This means it would be a shame if Tokyo didn’t win after all the hard work Hadid put into her winning design. This stadium is Japan's National Stadium. It is being renovated in time for the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Even if Japan doesn't get the Olympics, Tokyo will be building this stadium.
