I think that is the old depiction above. Weber Thompson took it over from Bumgardener and completely retooled it...according to their own website. The new one that has been posted with the blacker top (and was featured in the djc) seems to be the accurate current depiction.

They two dont actually look that different. One is clearly a more accurate model and the other is an illustration. But the cut outs and the colors and everything are the same design on both.

I know I'm not posting this right, but here's one of about 4 of this type in Honolulu which take the basic apartment box and dress it up some way.

Sorry, I should have specified. I was particularly responding to a specific comment that mentioned "angularity" and I just wanted to point out that it's going to be a box at the top (illusion of rendering on the recent). Otherwise, the recent and old rendering are similar enough to the point that the differences are negligible.

I used to commute from Seattle to Honolulu and I would stay at that hotel. What a dump.

Last I read was a June start. So yeah it's getting close, but putting equipment and fencing up at the site doesn't really take long.

I hope we end up with a race between this one and 2nd & Pike. That developer said they would be starting around the same time as this one, right?

815 Pine got a shoring and excavation permit yesterday. Sometimes that's the cue to get going. Obviously lots of things to tie up to start any project.
