![]() Is the construction restart still set for 2012 or has it been advanced? By 2012 the foundation that's already done will be weathered, if it's not already now. I know in Miami it doesn't take long for dead developments to look like sh*t. Last edited by Miami High Rise; March 26th, 2011 at 08:44 AM. |

On this picture you can see that there will be an open space between 30 park place and the little building next to the Woolworth. What will happen there? Green space?

This tower reminds me of 20 exchange pl a lot. I think the the renders in the OP might be a little off; it shouldn't appear taller than 3WTC, especially from a distance.

No updates in forever on this!
I wrote an article on this/other stalled projects-- Quote:
http://newyorkyimby.blogspot.com/201...6-leonard.html I think this has an excellent chance at actually being built soon given its proximity to the WTC. The high-end clients that will end up in the WTC will have executives who want awesome accommodations close-by, whether hotel or apartments. 99 Church is definitely well-positioned to satisfy those needs. |

There are far more buildings that are still in the waiting phase. 2WTC, 3WTC, 15 Penn, the Manhattan West towers and the Hudson Yards development. Currently only 1WTC, 4WTC, 157 and 432 Park go ahead

It looks like the base of 99 church street streches out into that space, maybe a plaza or something?

Apparently, 99 Church Street is also known as 30 Park Place.
I've been trying to research, but the status is simply, "On hold" for the time being. Does anyone know when the construction will resume? |

That would not surprise me at all. Rental vacancy is under 1%, and there are hotels popping up all over place, I'm really surprised this hasn't already been resumed.
I'm also glad this isn't glass, and will go with a more old school NY facade, which I think will contrast nicely with the WTC less than a block away, and will look like it was always there. |

Otherwise they should redesign the interior for apartments. I hope construction of this beauty resumes soon.

ahh, I've been wondering for the longest time what that big hole in the ground was.
This will complement the WTC nicely. Lets hope it goes up soon. |

Anytime a project is placed "on hold", I get worried.
