Visak is the "Buddha's Birthday", it actually encompasses the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Gautama Buddha.

Most Indonesian Buddhists are from Indonesian Chinese ethnic nowadays.
Buddhism is among the least followed by Indonesians from currently 6 legal religions. It only accounts approx 1% of our total population, in contrast with past time when it once dominated Indonesia during ancient kingdoms era (remember Borobudur?). So, most of our modern Buddhist temple (called Vihara in Bahasa Indonesia) are heavily influenced by Chinese architecture.
