.It's often you see brown buildings being for whatever reason IMO, depressing. You can have them too dark, and sometimes, too bright, but I think in this case Elite Residences got the color spot on. It's rich without being overbearing and isn't the typical silver and glass only tower that you'd see in the US or elsewhere. If all the blue glass is going to clean right up like that base then I think the tower will look superb. But again, YMMV. Now while I'll admit, I'm not a fan of excessive cornices and feel that there some better ways these towers could rise upwards in a more aesthetic fashion, you have to keep in mind that much like how architects try to break up horizontal space, the designers are probably trying to do that here as well in variously pleasing ways. A 400+ meter / 1,300' shearwall can only be so pretty if flat. But again it depends on the style and context of the building. The old WTC was straight up and yet, in photos, I think it had it's own unique beauty though I never got to see it in person. These towers are quite thin though and may not have the same visual mass that an office building would so again, a reason that perhaps the designers thought it different to do (break up the height into sections). Nice to see this one wrapping up! |

Agree. So easy to decide and built another blue tower. I like them being different there. The cladding is golden, by the way. Another thing that's better seen in person - it doesn't come out on pictures that well. The pic below shows the top section, which has been unwrapped not long ago and therefore is rather clean. Remember that the rest has not been cleaned for over a year and therefore doesn't shine. |

Great photos
Looking good the top part will really shine when it has been cleaned and it will be interesting to see how the lights on top turn out. id love to see some photos of the skyline from your lowely observation deck towards the 23 marina that must be quite interesting i think.

you'd think so, but from princess tower top there are only three things actually touching the sky (meaning visible above the horizon as opposed to below the horizon line). Namely Marina 101, Elite Residence (only the spire above the spheres), and Burj Khalifa in the distance. That's it. 23 Marina is hidden behind the black monolith of Marina 101. But the view on the palm and towards the far distance, and over the marina is breathtaking... There will be an almost 360 degree panorama in the new princess tower brochure soon, I believe. |

The podium looks cheap and nasty, like most of the others in this block. The crown is pretty nice though.

I agree. The whole block doesnt offer anything nice to the eye and residents. It would have been better to create the podiums in an unique arabian design, to make it look like a village with shared rooftop amnenities, street level shop, nice landscaping with water features etc, and the towers ontop of all that.

I went today for the pre-handover inspection of my apartment. The expected handover date is at the end of July now, hopefully the last deferral.
I must admit that I was positively impressed by the finishing, if it wasn't for the person who accompanied me a couple (the only ones) of glitches would have gone unnoticed. It is the first time that I see that the kitchen appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and induction cooker) are complimentary from the Constructor. The missing thing is a storage in the basement or anywhere else, as I had when I was living on the Palm. Parking is through 8 floors, 4 above and 4 below ground level, and there are 9 elevators, 3 only go above the 47th or 48th floor. I am trying to post just 3 photos but I am unable to do so (by linking the Photobucket URL's) |

in the Jumireah walk and Jumireah residences. wich consists of 36 towers in the 100, to 150m range and they are all connected by a podium at roughly 3-4 floors up. there are some shops and restaurants at this podium. and some landscaping and artand you have plenty of shops and restaurants on ground level also by the beach. and its all Arabian design

You can't have all the towers in a single interconnected podium. Unlike JBR where all the towers are a community, here towers are by different developers and since all have restricted access to residents and their guests only, it wouldn't be a good idea to restrict entry at the entrance and leave it open at the podium.
Speaking of JBR: There are 40 towers in total that goes up to 200 meters in height. The shared podium is FULLY landscaped and does have art works. It also has shops and restaurants but they have turned out to be a dissaster, while at the same time, the street level restaurants and cafes at JBR Walk are bustling with life.
