I actually find those nets pretty cool. I'll buy any stupid fruit just to get hold of the net

Thanks for the aerial, Hafnia.

Another view of the DI building from an unusual angle.

Went into Tivoli yesterday, and took pictures of the almost completed DI construction, so you can judge yourself whether you think Tivolis Friends are right about the DI building which they find to massive and intrusive in relation to the old garden, or it's simply okay that the city development get closer and closer.

Remember that the trees is without a single leave, that will cover the garden pretty much during the season.

I'm not sure that the Royal Hotel would have been allowed to be build in our time.

Probably not. And to me that's so sad. Part of Tivoli's charm (and to me the main thing about Tivoli) is that it's in the middle of a big city. That you can see the city going on around you gives way more to Tivoli than Tivolis Venner and many other seem to think, IMHO.

I completely agree. If it means so much to Tivolis Venner, that they can go to an amusementpark without being disturbed by a surrounding city, why don't they just cast their love on BonBonland or something like that? In general their "arguments" doesn't make sence.

By the way, I went by Rådhuspladsen yesterday (commercial/selfpromotion: a photo thread of the Copenhagen Carnival may appear in the N&B photo section soon), and so far I like Industriens Hus. It seems to fit in, in its own strange way.

Nothing too exciting, but a little update from me. The cladding is now done (sans all the logos) - they are working hard at the atrium.

Thanks, It's been a while since the last update. Are they going to replace all of the old neon signs with new ones? (LED)

Massive and impressive building What about the old neon signs? Will they be replaced with new ones?

Can't imagine they will re-cycle the old ones.
They have just spent a few hundred millions bucks on the project, so it seems unlikely to save on the shiny neon lights.

Well, it's a plain facade made of transparent glass. It's exciting in the samme way as the facade of a green house is exciting.

That is not a fair comparisation in my opinion. The surroundings will make this facade very interesting because of the reflections in the glass. Every time I have gone by the building during the construction face, it has grown on me.

I'm thinking... it could've been really amazing if they had made the facade into a LED facade.. Givin it a little more life/vibrance.. but i guess that wouldn't be very scandinavian..

of course with our own colors/whatever...
