Also, they keep showing the view from the back, not the front facing the BTS. Guess that is going to be unattractive.

Look promising. I hope that it won't be disappointing like digital gateway.
Now we all know that the TCC corp. sucks at handling shopping malls like
pantip plaza, digital gateway or even the new gateway at Ekamai which I heard
complaint already even it still didn't open yet. The material are cheap and they won't
fix anything in it like the escalator at digital gateway between 1st and 2nd floor
has been broken for weeks and I think it already been a month and they won't do
anything about it or even the 360 screens that connect to the BTS that has been broken
for more than a year.
I hope that when it finished it will be great and afterward they will maintain it that way.
By the way I like Central and LH group manage their shopping mall. It's always neat and
there will always be improvement or maintainance happening all the time.

ผมไม่อยากให้สยามสร้างเป็นห้างแบบนี้อ่ะครับ
ผมคิดว่าเสน่ห์ของสยามคือแบบตึกแถว เอ้าท์ดอร์แบบนี้ละ
ถ้าปรับปรุงให้สวยใหม่ ทางเท้าน่าเดิน จัดระเบียบเรื่องการจราจรดีๆ
นี่ก็เยี่ยมแล้วววว
แต่พอสร้างห้างตึกๆแบบนี้รู้สึกเหมือนเดินที่ไหนก็ได้มากกว่า

เขาคงมองที่การเพิ่มมูลค่าของที่ดินมากกว่าครับ ห้างแบบนี้รายได้ค่าเช่าน่าจะดีกว่าตึกแถวอยู่แล้ว ใครจะไปสนเสน่แบบเก่าๆ ในเมื่อทำแบบนี้มันสร้างรายได้มากกว่าละมั้ง(หมายถึงมุมมองของเจ้าของที่)

ก็จุฬาก็ยอมโดนหันงบประมาณไปมากกว่าครึ่ง(เท่าที่ดูงบประมาณที่ได้มาปีนี้น่ะ) เพื่อให้รัฐไปเสียอย่างอื่นแทน
แล้วให้ตัวเองเลี้ยงตัวเองได้ อย่างที่คุณsunsonataบอกแหละ เขาคงเห็นการทำอย่างนี้ได้กำไรกว่า
ให้เช่าตึกแถว ที่ความจริงค่าเช่าไม่ได้แพงหูฉีกแต่มีการเช่าช่วงต่อเยอะทำให้มันแพงมาก
แต่ก็ยังอยากให้สกาล่าและความรู้สึกเดิมๆอยู่น่ะ แต่ไม่ได้ทิ้งไว้อย่างนี้น่ะ อยากให้มีการปรับปรุงให้น่าเดิน
มากขึ้น และคนเช่าสกาล่าคนใหม่ก็ทำอย่างอื่นก็ได้ ไม่จำเป็นจะต้องเป็นโรงหนังแต่ยังคงสถาปัตยกรรมเดิมก็ได้
