I managed to grab half a house brick from the south bank rubble. Still have it in a drawer at home. Not the same as having a crush barrier though. I'm dead jealous!
How much would that fetch on e bay? |

Given that there will be no away fans in the the stand, I would have thought that they would have been putting in additional seating rails and seats to fill that 'No mans' area in the top tier. But no....... they are casting concrete steps? So it looks as though that area is still staying. Either that or Moxey hasn't informed the contractors that it's not required anymore. I can't believe he's missing out on getting the extra seat sales in. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Glass wall at the front of the upper disabled section.

I hope Wolves go up and the development continues, otherwise let's face it, they've kinda ruined Molineux

However, one thing I feel confident of is that it will all get done. ![]() Check me out, Mr Positive, I must have got out of the right side of bed this morning either that or I've been getting too much sun.

Cheers for the photos Moosejuice. It looks to me as if they're still going ahead with putting the fixed segregation in, or is that just me? These steps are quite a bit wider than the normal steps, suggesting they'd be split in 2 by the fixed fence in the middle. Giving the stewards/police somewhere to stand either side of the fence.
Have they said that away fans are never going in the North Bank? Or is just that they're not going in the North Bank until the new Steve Bull is done? If the first is true, then it seems hugely odd for them not to be putting seats in there. If the latter is true, then, to me, it still seems slightly odd as the work to put the steps in has only taken a few days thus far and could be done during the close season before the new Steve Bull opened, leaving the area open for temporary/semi-permanent seats in there until that time. Either way, it seems a little odd. But hey, what hasn't on this build?

My understanding was that they had decided (that at least for this next season) it would be home fans only, I pressume this will change once the Steve Bull stand is done. |

To me this is a sign that the steve bull will go ahead in the next few years, if not the end of 2012/13.
If they had replaced the area with rails and seats, they would be there for a few years, not just 1 season. If the redevelopment continues next summer, the segregation is ready and waiting |

Another thing the club might be thinking about is if there is a cup game and the whole 15% rule with us having a bigger capacity they may be obliged to use the SB lower and NB corner if the away team requests it. So by putting the segregation in now it's ready and waiting to go with no worries about moving season ticket holders etc.

Cheers Messi.
Now the scaffolding has come down from the black brickwork and that glass has mostly gone in on the corner wall, I think the stand's already looking better. I do just wish that those 3 thin strips of window on the black wall had become a reality, rather than just 1 - it would have really helped break that wall up. But it still looks good. Just looking at the stand as a whole, I think it's pretty impressive now, and the livery and finishing details are yet to go on. |

I dunno why everyone's so pessimistic about this. Clearly, the new stand, with the venues inside it and the fact it increases the seating capacity of the Molineux even without the top corner, is better than what was there before. Phase 1 represents an improvement over former Molineux. Yes, Phase 2 would be great, and much better, but without it it's still not a bad stadium and not a bad thing to have done. It's not stayed the same and certainly hasn't got worse.

I would love to know from people with experience. Is the stand state of the art using best quality materials as was stated when it was announced?
I do like the look of it but as a layman I wouldnt call it state of the art. |

Cheers messi for the photos.
It's amazing how much better the stand looks now the scaffolding is down and the glass is in on the staircase in the NE corner. Really looking forward to phase 2 getting started hopefully next summer or at least summer of 2014 dependant upon the Compton park development. Strange to know that my old school (St Edmunds) will be demolished ready for the future of wolves academy to be produced on that same piece of land! Although the pitches at the back near the canal do need some serious drainage work doing to them. I am rather looking forward to next season though now especially living up in the lake district the number of the teams that are only 2 or so hours drive away max for away days that we have a realistic chance if winning is quite nice!! I know the likes of Huddersfield and Blackpool aren't as glamorous as visiting the 2 manc clubs bug the appeal a lot more to me as a football fan especially as a wolves fan as I can go there expecting a result rather than hoping against all the odds for a result!! |

With the scaffolding now I think it becomes even more apparent how poor the cladding looks. Plus there is far too much of it in the corner.
