Trinidad does not get hurricanes, so they really do not need to put the electric lines underground. Now I personal would like them underground as it looks unsightly, but I'd also like Dallas to do the same thing as everytime we get a bad storm we have hundreds of thousands of people without power and I hate what they do to the trees and way power line looks running everywhere.

I know!! Sorry to sidetrack the thread.

It's retarded massacre the trees because you can't incur the costs of putting the power line underground. What about the costs of constantly sending people to fix power lines and leaving customers without power?

Well, I didn't know T&T avoided hurricanes altogether, but on our side of the Caribbean (ugh). Yes, it's also a question of aesthetics. Maybe if all the cables were wrapped around each other, but it's actually wires hanging from everywhere!

ok back on topic.

It need to be underground because it look petty to see without the wires on the overground of the country.

I like Trinidad's pictures. A very picturesque island and well organized. It has a distinct Caribbean imprint into it.
