well its approved to 235m with option for 23m of feature above which most devlopers would jump at chance to add,. hopefully more news on this one before xmas.

The residential tower concept for the site is fab and I think its perfect for the site. Enclosed balconies would suit this tower and actually makes it unique against nearby towers that offer the balconies.

its not a silly sign or logo. or the whole bldg lit up like a xmas tree.
plus World towers beacon has a suttle glow, not much power is used. and it only goes on for a few hours of a night.

Yep, saw it up close for the first time when up on the Goldy for business last week. Probably the best looking scraper in Oz i'd have to say.

I think he meant the new BHP signage in Perth, which would be something like 230m I'm guessing. Still lower than Sydney Tower Westfield though.

BHP signage was replaced by AMP signage some time ago. Looks good.

The question is which developer would want it? Meriton would love the height but the design of the building may have to toned down, unless they want to make it the jewel in the crown.

I think Frasers could pull it off. They are more into upmarket projects like Regent Square.

actually, having a same floor plate with no balconies with glass facade is probably as cheap as you can get to construct!!

I personally don't think it's anything to be sad about. I detest signage. If a building can't stand out for it's striking design, then no amount of fluro or neon lighting can save it.
