Four weeks to go until the opening of the train station at
Warsaw Frederic Chopin airport and the rail link between the airport and Warsaw city centre. I can't wait for the station to formally open and to see trains pulling into and leaving it. Warsaw Frederic Chopin will become the second airport in Poland to have a direct train link with the city it serves (the other airport is Kraków), hopefully followed by Lublin airport when it opens. Warsaw airport rail link ready for Euro 2012
PR dla Zagranicy Nick Hodge 21.05.2012 15:55 A railway link between Warsaw's Chopin Airport and the capital will open on 1 June, a week before the start of the Euro 2012 tournament. Passengers will be able to reach the centre of Warsaw in twenty-five minutes and the overground service will also enable fans to travel direct to the National Stadium. Travellers stepping onto the trains will be greeted in Polish, English, Russian and Greek, the latter two as a gesture to the nations playing in Group A matches in the capital. Meanwhile for those trying to get to the airport, services will be running through the centre of the city every 10-12 minutes during peak hours, and every 15 minutes off-peak. Two companies will run the services, Szybka Kolej Miejska (SKM) and Koleje Mazowieckie (KM), and the former has purchased 13 new trains, each of which will be able to transport approximately 1000 passengers at a time. The first route from the airport will terminate in the town of Sulejowek, 18 km east of Warsaw, the second at Legionowo, 23 km to the north east of the capital. (nh) |

RailThere are no direct rail links to the airport. As of 2010, a rail link is being built at a cost of 230 million złoty to connect the airport's Warsaw Chopin Airport railway station (built as part of Terminal A) to Warsaw city centre.[17] It should be ready for use by June 2012

A few pictures about rail connection to Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Pictures from yesterday night 2.06.2012. Wraszawa Centralna (Warsaw Main Station), I was surprised how much this station has changed after rennovation. Trains from this station depart to Chopin Airport -/+ every 45 minutes*. There are paper timetables and information boards for this connection on the platform. The screans also appeared on platforms, as you can see it in the second photograph. On the station you can easily find screens informing about this and other routes. Information about this connection is clearlz announced via loudspeakers in polish and english. ![]() ![]() *There are also more train connections from Warszawa Śródmieście station (It's station for some suburban connections) that is located nearby to the main station. And few pictures from today 03.06. After I arrived to the terminal and dropped my luggage I ran to see railway station at the airport. The railway station is located on right side 3 mins of walking from exit in new terminal, ground (arrival level).
I'm sorry for quality of photographs they were taken in hurry with my Nokia. I'm quite sure somebody will paste here some better pictures soon. ![]() By olo1d Extra signs for EURO 2012 ![]() By olo1d Entrance to the station: ![]() By olo1d ![]() By olo1d ![]() By olo1d ![]() By olo1d ![]() By olo1d at 2012-06-03 |

How much time or how much money does it cost?
Journey to Warsaw Central Station takes about 20 minutes. Ticket costs 3,60 PLN. So it's around 0.82 EUR or 1 USD.

I am really glad that you like this airport and certainly you are always welcome but let me suggest you one thing. Before you say something try to find more reliable information :-) and find out how European Union works and what is the reason it was established. Take care!
