There are technologies and methods that can make solid bedrocks, so don't worry about that. The issue is not the soil of Bangladesh, the issue is the law.

Good to see positive coverage of Dhaka coming from CNN...they always only used to focus on the problems before, now they are focusing on the solutions and advances as well.

CNN's Future Cities to feature Dhaka this month
Swati Arya

This month, ‘Future Cities’ is in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This sprawling Asian metropolis is the fastest growing megacity in the world, with 15 million residents and counting. Thirty per cent of people live in slums, which is increasing every year with the arrival of a whopping 500,000 new migrants, all looking for work and relief from the floods of the north. Future Cities Dhaka airs* on Saturday 26 May at 1015, Sunday 27 May at 1715, Saturday 23 June at 1715 and Sunday 24 June at 1015 .

This city may be choked with people, traffic and pollution, but, like any city, Dhaka has its dreams and its vision for the future. With the pressure on to provide efficient transport networks, adequate housing, and clean water, plans are underway to tame this megacity and make it liveable.

‘Future Cities’ host Leone Lakhani learns about the city’s bold plan to improve the whole transport infrastructure, including a new metro system which will carry 750,000 people each day; a new industrial plant to treat water and quench the thirst of the city’s inhabitants; and she also meets an architect who’s planning for Dhaka's future by building floating houses, schools and hospitals.

‘Future Cities’ meets the people living the complex reality of this megacity, and asks whether the city will ever cope with the demands of a population that is spiralling out of control.

Couple of questions based on stuff I looked at on Wikimapia.org (similar to Google Earth):

What's the name of the building U/C across from Concord IK Tower on Gulshan Avenue?

What's the name of the building U/C at the intersection of Rd 71 and 73 at Gulshan-2
North?

How many floors have been completed on the U/C Le Meridien hotel in Banani?

Is there any construction going on across the street from the "wall of towers" on Kemal Ataturk Ave in Banani?

How is the Sanmar Tower project in Gulshan-2 (behind Westin) coming along?

Will the Gulshan Central Mosque be demolished after the new one is built?

Does anyone have a render of the upcoming Health Bhaban in Mohakhali?

What building is U/C next to Hotel Zakaria in Mohakhali?

What building is U/C behind Koyela near Aarong on the Gulshan-Tejgaon Link Road?

What building is U/C behind Akij Filling Station in Tejgaon?

1.There are four towers coming up across the street from the wall of towers at banani. One of them is the assurance nazir tower, one by unique group, one by eastern housing(prolly),and theres another one.

2.The sunmar tower project is coming up well, last time I checked,it was prolly already over 10 floors talls

3.The under construction tower next to zakaria hotel is prolly Navana Yusuf infinity tower.

4.Navana HR tower is being built behind koyla at tejgoan-gulshan link road

Thanks bro

One of the 4 bridges being built at Hatirjheel
A few high-rises by the bridge would really make the place look special!
