I don't like these. No imagination in the architecture at all. Just boxes.

Yes! I love it! The one under that looks like something that would rot your teeth, the way its been painted. I like the one on the top left too. Really tall and narrow!

I'm pretty sure that for some people the design of the building doesn't matter at all, as long as they have somewhere safe to live.

but for many others it does, as well as for the image of the city, not to mention that we shouldnt treat people like cattle and just put them somewhere, we need to give the best to all the people
but i understand what you mean
however, aesthetics aside, alot of the projects are so poorly planned

I'm sure many people coming from much worse rural conditions to live there, and maybe its a step up for them, but still there is some severe problems. Many of the blocks are too close to each other, in case of fire or earthquake these will be deathtraps...

I think the way that you had said that they are treating people like cattle is very much exaggerated. You must understand that the main aim of these projects is to create affordable housing for people less well off. Which basically mean keeping costs low and quick completion of the project. However I do agree with you that some of the projects poorly planned.

Yes that was the point I was attempting to convey, the fact that majority of the people come from rural areas.... But yes not perfect by any means.

i dont think there are any, but they are for low income people , house prices have skyrocketed in iran and there is an insufficient amount of housing, these are made to "fix" these problems but they also have created many problems aswell especially when it comes to city planning

1) At how many Rials is the poverty line set in Iran?

2) Is there a big housing shortage in the whole of Iran or is it a major problem just in Tehran?
