I think the photographer deliberately wanted it to be dark

Silhouette. but I really don't think there is a standard SSC type banner..I used to think there was..but I have seen a lot of non conventional banners. I think as long as a banner looks interesting..it can be a banner.

It doesn't have to fit the bill of a conventional skyline banner.

I think he means the quality isn't very good and the photo may not get a high rating. Look through the past banners and you can tell the kind of banners that did well vs. the banners that did poorly.

I've seen worse. Plus when I post..banners I post banners that I think look good. I don't define my concept of beauty based on the ideas of other people.
