The higher goals that should be fulfilled give socialist architecture its reason to exist, not mere appearance. From a macrosocial view more people can achieve to live well if design costs are taken down globally and those resources that can be used for something else like health.

Sorry to continue the political discussion but your assumption is very flimsy. It is generally the free market that puts downward pressure on costs, not state controls. Socialism achieves it's goal of equality by bringing everybody down (except for the socialist elite, of course). I'll leave it at that.

Yes, truly Revolutionary architecture is Constructivism and not Stalinism. I think that in today's Russia does not understand the magnitude and importance of Constructivism. Constructivism has set standards of avant-garde architecture of the 20th century. He had a huge impact on the west. German Bauhaus was heavily influenced by Constructivism. It is interesting that the Nazis embraced Bauhas even though he was under enormous Russian ie. Communist influence.
After all, people in the West do not know what the impact of the Russian avant-garde (Constructivism, Suprematism, etc.) on their life from music to advertising. They would be surprised if they knew what was all that was initiated in Russia(Soviet Union).
Stalinism is the neoclassicism which elements od communist ideology. Yes, even has a reaction.

One of the first Constructivist objects in Moscow, Shukhov radio tower(built 1920-1922) 160-metre-high:

I do not understand why Russia do not maintain these facilities better. Constructivism originated in Russia, and completely changed the world of architecture.
