Shaun the Dummie!
If Celtic are basically the IRA and enjoy blowing things up,why do they get invited to friendlys in England and USA every year? In saying that, they did win the "Best fans in Europe award in 2003,after taking 80,000 down to Seville and not one arrest! p.s.are you that guy that played Bennie in Crossroads? |

i wonder how many bombs "celtic" supporters have made and set off.....actually killing people.and how much money was raised by celtic fans at celtics home ground...with the knowledge of the celtic board...these are just a couple of points why celtic will never be allowed into english football......

Lived with a lad from ROI last year and he seemed annoyed at the assumption that he'd support Celtic, and said a lot back home just follow out of blindness rather than passion. Don't most people follow an English side as well?

Exactly. I dont follow Celtic at all. I couldn't give a shit about any team in Scotland. Most people just say they follow tem because it is out of blindness. I really dislike both teams if I am honest.

If there are so many Celtic fans in Ireland why not join that league then, a league where they may be welcomed unlike England where they are totally unwanted and will never ever be accepted.

Indeed, just playing on cruyff bonkers logic.
Nobody wants Celtic (and Rangers) in the league. Not even the other Scottish teams truth be told.

He played for most of his career (and the entirety of his peak years) in England. Ditto Roy Keane. But quite aside from the absurdity of stressing the tenuous Celtic connection of various players, why are you persisting with this line of argument? You have consistently claimed not to be a Celtic fan and yet you appear to spend your entire time on this thread brown nosing Celtic and trying to convince the rest of us that they are the greatest club ever and that they have more fans than all other teams in the world put together (and, of course, that those fans are the best fans in the world). I find such delusion to be a common characteristic of Celtic fans. So are you really being honest about your allegiance? It's alright. You can tell us. |

Id prefer to get rid of them(tv money is crap anyway)and let Scottish football grow(as seen in the reaction of Hearts and Hibs in the Scottish cup final)The support is potentially there, but its killed by the economic stranglehold of the big two! Can you believe Rangers used to pay the highest wages to players in the UK?(up to 1991).This only started to change wjth the construction of the premier league in 1991 and Sky tv Since then the big two have suffered! Im trying to argue, why it would suit England and Scotland if they competed in the premiership! |

Why would it not help the Irish league to have Celtic in it?
Do you not get it, the fans, but more importantly the clubs owners and those in the FA do not want them in England anyway. It's a pointless discussion, may as well discuss united joining la liga.
