Yoo wins Lodha Group tower mandate

Yoo, the residential design and branding firm, has been enlisted by Lodha Group, one of India’s largest real estate developers, to design, brand and market a luxury towers in Wadala, Mumbai.


The 63-storey tower is at Lodha Group’s new ‘destination of the future’ in Mumbai.

Landscape looks very impressive..
Floor plans are a disaster..
Density is very high, with 10 towers of 63 floors placed very close to each other..
Will be bought more by investor's rather than end users

while the project itself is great, the floor plan is horrible. The room are way too small even for Bombay.

if this project is a success we would see more supertalls next too it. MMRDA has total of 200 acres out of which Lodha has bought 20 acres. That means we would have around 100 towers in close proximity to each other in the near future.

well i red the hard copy of todays newspaper,not sure if any soft copy availaible,
think next boost to the property will be when mmrda submits blue print of finalised develompent plans for which expression of interest by leading developers were sought in jan 2012.
then i guess next trigger could be when monorail goes into public sight by end of year and express way by next year ,
lets see the turn of events as it unfolds,
only negative left is the rcf factory,which has also started commercialising its premises and woul hopefully pack up.

Mumbai The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited expressions of interest (EoI) from consultants to prepare a detailed plan to create a business centre in Wadala after Nariman Point and Bandra-Kurla Complex.
The agency hopes to finalise a consultant for the development of the 109.3-hectare plot in Wadala in six months and prepare the plan by the year-end. “There is a general development plan for the area, but a detailed masterplan has to be prepared,” said D Sampathkumar, chief of the town and country planning division, MMRDA. “We also want to have block-wise architectural control of the entire area so that it gets its own identity.”
The development authority has asked consultants to submit the EoIs by January 31 and plans to give the selected consultant four months to submit the report. The area will continue to house the truck terminal in over 19.6 hectares, an extension of 8.7 hectares and the inter-state bus terminal in another 4.5 hectares — which constitute about 30 per cent of the total 109.3 hectares.
The draft planning proposal of MMRDA says about 25 per cent of the area is occupied by salt pans or falls under protected forest areas. As of now, the authority has sold just one plot in the proposed commercial district for Rs 4,053 crore to Lodha Developers.
