You were right outside my building (Cottons Centre) when you took this.

Sure thing, although this one has modifications to show the construction progress as I'm sure you can see.

If they are working at a floor a week, and currently they are at steel Level 8, which is 2 floors above a 'ready' floor (level six), I estimate we will see this steel above the groundscraper line at about week beginning July 16.

I don't like this building. I look at St George's tower and I say wow! I look at this and say yeuw! IMHO beauty has been sacrificed on the altar of architectural idiosyncracy, and I predict it will come to be considered as a blot on the landscape.

You know, as the steelwork gets higher, you're going to get people walking by going "Ooh, they're putting that scaffolding up all wonky, should we tell them?"

But in both cases, you're looking at completely unfinished buildings, this one even more so than the other.

Or are you comparing them purely on how they look in the renders?

Going by TSB's diagram this building will be a lot more slender than the renders suggest and no doubt some people will be surprised by how 'elegant' it is going to look.
