That Sudan tower is just a vision, Azerbaijan Tower is a real proposed project.

real proposed project that still isn't likely nor unlikely to happen. At the moment i think it has a probability to rise of like 40%. I think no-one can be sure what will happen to this project until we have real renders and more information, but then again this is in very very early stages. Anything can happen, from height reduction to complete cancellation or stuck on hold due to financial problems, we have seen it all This is an ambitious project and i really hope that this will eventually come true, even if it reaches ground level when Kingdom Tower is already topped out.

I think that's way too generous, I'll admit I don't know everything about this project but I would be shocked if it actually got built.

I would say its quite impossible. Azerbaijan doesn't even have 1 building above 150 m in height. How in the world are they gonna make this? It shall never get built. And by the way, what is its use? Azerbaijan doesn't have so huge a population, that they cannot fit in the several low rises that they build. Whats the use of building skyscrapers just for the sake of it? No city in Azerbaijan is like Mumbai, where no building less than 40 floors is even allowed, just because of the space shortage.

first get ur facts straight
Flame Towers in baku with the height of 189 metres are the tallest buildings in Baku but not for long Socar tower , Crescent tower will all be above 200m
several highrises that they build ?
Baku is in a middle of a construction boom
and buildings like Port Baku filled up really quick while the building will be finished in 1 more year
and Baku is a very busy city with a population of about 4 million people
So someone finally decided to build a brand new city with investors money not far away from Baku to take some pressure off Baku
and to attract tourist and investors they decided tht they will build new worlds tallest building

Azerbaijan Tower is inside the Khazar Islands project which is a brand new city under construction

I can't believe anyone could have their hopes up for this building, even if it's not impossible, the fact you are not skeptical at all, especially looking at those renderings, is hard to believe.

Jay is right, this proposal isn't going to happen. It's only a marketing move to attract investors to the Khazar islands. the only way this could happen would be with a drasticaly reduced height. Maybe if it would be like 250 or 300 meters to the roof it would stand a chance.

This project was a surprise for us, too. When I saw the first renderings of Khazar Islands, I thought that this will never become real. But after getting photos and videos from construction site, I changed my mind. Currently, the first island is under construction. No one can state exactly that this project will be realized or not. The construction of this tower directly depends on the construction of whole Khazar Islands project. And for now the works are going pretty well. I would prefer to wait for the constructors to reach the island where the tower is planned.
