Letchworth AFC A new team has been set up in Letchworth, which has applied to enter the non league pyramid at Step 6 and has had it's application accepted on the basis that its ground is built in time for pre-season. Building works commenced in the summer on the new stadium, which had been built after being given a grant from the Letchworth Heritage Foundation. The barriers and pitch were used from the original youth setup, with a new stand, clubhouse and floodlights to be built around it. Fencing would then be put up so the club could charge entrance to the stadium. The new capacity of the ground was planned at 500 seated, with space for another 500 standing around the perimeter fence. ![]() The next step was to put in place the foundations for the main stand. The main stand would be situated at one end of the pitch (along a longer side) with the clubhouse right next to it. ![]() ![]() After the main stand had been built, the foundations for the clubhouse went in and the seats for the main stand were ordered. 536 seats could fit in the new stand and they would be blue to match the clubs historic colours. ![]() The floodlights and seats were put in just in time for pre-season and the club were accepted to Step 6 of the non-league pyramid.

I agree. The way you currently plan to do it does not match the arena at all. Looks like the roof of a larger arena added to that!

you mean concourse? like this: http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/1504/sonstige08q.jpg
coz i haven't made it. There are just pillars behind the stands (except the stands behind the goal lines). what do u want to see? the main stand's facade isn't finished. i want to make 4 stadium lights to the corners; subs benches and 2 parking areas. |

You'd be surprised how many stadiums and arenas have that design though - bowl seating with rectangular facade. There is no issue in having it - what you are doing is creating space without detracting from the concourse.

I should elaborate further - you end up with more space in the corners, where things such as merchandise/club shops, restaurant, bar, child-minding facilities, toilets or whatever can go, without making the concourse restrictively narrow. I used the same basic design for my ARENA project last year, links http://pompey2j.blogspot.com.au/2011...ng-nicely.html, http://pompey2j.blogspot.com.au/2011...ena-issue.html, http://pompey2j.blogspot.com.au/2011...ena-walls.html, http://pompey2j.blogspot.com.au/2011...na-update.html, http://pompey2j.blogspot.com.au/2011...rtainment.html, plus more.
