Selam Alejkum, I don't see the point in the continuous construction around the Masjid al-Haram, I personally think that everything in a 1,000 meter radius should be flattened, a beautiful area should be created to give the thousands of worshipers space, also since Islam sees no boundaries or differences among people perhaps it would not be a wrong idea to establish Makkah a district without any nation governing it, a place where money only goes out in the form of charity and where no money is spent also a place with no tax, a place where people come to pray to the creator, a place that is owned and is a home for every Muslim in the world.

What is the fetish of building huge buildings inside makkah proper? Can't the historical makkah be left alone and the dome itself be the main attraction in the city?
It is not like there isn't room in the country to build another city outside of makkah which could be connected via meglev or regular rail. |
