I'm slightly confused as you say your ranking is based on magnitude and height, yet Auckland and Perth are ranked above Brisbane, however Auckland has only 12 buildings over 100m, and Perth 14, while Brisbane has 53.

Fair enough if your ranking was based on what you consider the most aesthetic skylines (which is a matter of opinion), but facts speak for themselves and Brisbane is technically ahead of the two by a significant margin.

Just thought I'd make you aware of this.

Would Brisbane be ahead of Gold Coast in terms of 100m+ buildings?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it does. I don't have exact numbers but the Gold Coast has about 45 buildings over 100m.

What's your definition of magnitude? I take it magnitude means number of buildings and height means number of say, skyscrapers, supertalls? If that's the case, I'm not sure why you rank Latin America the way you do.

Latin America:

Buenos Aires, Argentina (0 Skyscrapers, 37 Highrises)
Mexico City, Mexico (4 Skyscrapers, 39 Highrises)
Panama City, Panama (19 Skyscrapers, at least 46 Highrises)
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (0 Skyscrapers, 14 Highrises)
Santiago, Chile (1 Supertall, 13 Highrises)
Sao Paulo, Brazil (0 Skyscrapers, 34 Highrises)
Source: http://skyscrapercenter.com/index.php

I can see you giving Rio some browny points for the beautiful natural backdrop but enough to vault it to #1? You can say quality is a factor and give Panama some penalty points. You can say it's purely your subjective opinion. But there's no way you can say 'magnitude' and 'height' are your main criteria and delegate Panama City #4. In both magnitude and height, Panama City leads. I guess if you consider magnitude # of buildings over 50m, then Sao Paulo or Rio might have a chance, but that would be a very subjective number choice either way.

I see. I see it spelled with an 'i' so assumed it was a spelling mistake, but then saw lots of people from latin America doing that.

That sounds about right. It did look like a mistake on that list.
