Two-day conference on cardiology
The Cardiology Society of India (CSI) Andhra Pradesh chapter is hosting its 17th Annual Conference on June 9 at 10 am at the Hotel Marigold green Park, Hyderabad. The two-day conference which is expected to be attended by over 300 cardiologists from all over the state, will be inaugurated by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, ESL Narasimhan. According to Dr Sunil Kuamr, president, CSI, the conference will strive to update the knowledge of the delegates on all aspects of cardiology. The theme of the conference is “Update” and will focus on all fields of cardiology like clinical, interventional, peripheral, electrophysiology, imaging and therapeutics. The conference will also have a live telecast of complex coronary and non-coronary interventions from various hospitals in the twin cities to the conference venue with live interaction between the operators and delegates. Orations lectures will be presented by reputed speakers like Dr A Sampath Kumar, retired professor, AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr George Cherian, retired professor of cardiology, CMS, Vellore and Dr Sesikiran, director, NIN. |

![]() HYDERABAD, JUNE 6: The fifth edition of Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair will be organised here during June 22-24, 2012. ``We are expecting significant business to transact in this business –to- business exhibition as south India in general and Andhra Pradesh is a big market for jewellery,’’ Ms Kranti Nagvekar, Group Director, UBM India, organiser of the event told newspersons here on Wednesday. The four southern states account for 45 per cent about 900 tonnes of gold jewellery sale per annum in the country, she added. The three-day event would feature over 125 exhibitors from India and abroad showcasing a range of products such as gems, studded jewellery, machinery and lab companies, pearls, diamond jewellery and traditional told jewellery. About 4,000 visitors were expected to visit the fair which will be held at the HITEX exhibition centre at Madhapur here, Mr Nagvekar said. |

HYDERABAD, JUNE 8: Auto Dealz, an event focussed on automobiles, will be organised by the Hyderabad International Trade Expositions Ltd (Hitex) at its exhibition centre on June 9 and 10. According to a press release the event will play host to all new and certified used-car, and bike dealers, banks, insurance companies and auto accessories brands. Auto Dealz would also offer a buyer a choice of car decor, finance options, insurance deals etc. Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra First Choice, Toyota UTrust, Hyundai Advantage, Honda Auto Terrace, Ford Certified and Chevrolet Certified representatives will assist car buyers, while those from Hero MotoCorp, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj and Honda will help two-wheeler buyers. |

Conference of medical students in Hyderabad from August 31
Hyderabad: Over 1,000 medical students from across the country will attend 'OSMECON 2012', a National Conference to be held at the Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad. The three-day conference beginning on August 31 will present interesting clinical cases and research papers and also features debate on cannabis, a medical quiz and workshops on Basic Life Support Skills and Surgical Skills.
