hmm...It looks very unique at night when it's all lit up, but at day I do agree that it's an eyesore.

I think it's growing on me a little bit. The belly of it is interesting, but I dislike the exterior of the observation portion. It looks dated.

That's exactly how I feel about it as well. It would have been much better if they used a seamless curved piece of glass for the exterior glass instead of this. Also, the staircase looks like scaffolding making the whole thing look unfinished, still. Missed opportunity for London, in my opinion, and it's a good thing it might disappear after the Games.

Those covered stairs absolutely ruin it for me. They make it seem forever under construction because they look like scaffolding.

Finished this model of the Orbit last night. Hoping it will be on Google Earth's 3D Layer in time for the Olympics. In the mean time here's the web-page where the model can be viewed/downloaded
