I understand they didn't know about which of the teams it was going to be in the first one in Kiev, but why the hell do they go to play in Donetsk 2 games instead of playing all 3 in Kiev and keep the other games down in Donetsk or do as Poland did to play only the 3rd outside the capital
Donetsk hasn't enough hotel numbers and by such a way they decided to resolved the problem with foreign fans - only one guest team instead of two. The other reason is political: people with Donetsk origin seized the power in Ukraine and our Football Federation decided to please them in such a way. But IMHO its a very bad idea to play in Donetsk - our national team has never win there before

Moving teams around too much, a German fan would be exhausted to go from Lvov to Harkov and back if it doesn't do it by plane.
I was surprised too. The only reason for such decision is to connect Kiev and Donetsk for national team to play in those two cities by the reasons I described before.

I support the Ukraine. And watched the match in the Swedish fan sector in the Ukrainian national team shirt! Swedes are great people and fans! I was interested in many Swedes about the camp, and all said that the camp is very good!

Complete comparison between full capacity and UEFA capacity:

Warsaw: 58,145 / 50,000
Gdansk: 43,615 / 40,000
Wroclaw: 42,771 / 40,000
Poznan: 41,609 / 40,000

Kyiv: 70,050 / 60,000
Donetsk: 52,518 / 50,000
Kharkiv: 38,633 / 35,000
Lviv: 34,915 / 30,000

The two largest stadiums are losing the most.
There is a bug on UEFA website. Wroclaw stadium is second biggest euro 2012 arena in Poland and it's capacity is 44,308.

9,000 were probably the amount that made it into the stadium. There were a ton of Sweden flags hanging and they had some loud cheers.

TV also said there were only 5,000 Italians and that number seemed low, so I took it as only 5,000 Italian fans made it inside for the match against Spain.

No it's not. Not for Euro 2012. Though it certainly isn't 40,000 as well.

In any case, I don't think there would be any riots in Ukraine, no matter who plays.

In Kyiv only marginalized people to speak in Russian. Educated people communicate in Ukrainian.

If the Russians the will to provoke... they will be severely punished.
