Well Ibadan is building a Mall and a New 5 star hotel, I think we can all develop...hopefully all those rusty roofs in Ibadan will become good real estate in future.

Naijaborn, please help me resize this pictures. I forgot how to do that.

Honestly, I have given up on that place called Ibadan.....I would prefer living in a small serene village , that stay in that place.....Eeeeew....crawling skin...lol.

Development is like 1/10th population growth....now , that isn't even funny!

Btw:y already posted that images larger version already.

If you have never lived in Ibadan, then I don't think you can really comment on it.

Ibadan is better than Lagos in many ways. For example, there is more room to manouvre - it is spread out and it is more peaceful.

I have many relatives that chose to live in Ibadan, even though they can live anywhere including Lagos. My grandfather has a house in his village but he doesn't live there, he lives in Ibadan even in his old age. If you have't lived in Ibadan - you can't really understand the city. Aerial shots don't tell you the character of a city.

A track stadium is a Multipurpose stadium

A stadium without a track is a football stadium. The government is not in the business of building football stadiums. Why should the government build football stadiums or any stadium for that matter. If they are going to build a stadium, they might as well make it a multipurpose stadium.

I hope you know that athletics is one of the biggest sports in Nigeria. You do not build Olympic stadiums for athletics. Olympic stadiums are used to host events. For athletics, you need numerous facilities all around the country. Facilities where people can train and that can also host smaller meets.

I hope you know that school children even use these stadiums. In Ibadan, school children use the Liberty stadium for interschool athletics. So these stadiums are far more than football or even competitive sports.

If people want to design football stadiums, they will have to do it with their own private money.

I just hope its expandable, because Uyo is Cming along, as a nice city, and the sports facilities too look good.... look at the pools, and the training pitches... It could host major events in future. 30,000 is fairly big.

Very well said. In most countries in fact stadiums are multi purpose facilities, especially if they are government owned.

This is a nice project.
