Concerning the skyline picture of post # 332 (Courtesy of Debraj), well it was taken using the almighty Canon 5D mark II. In plain English, the original picture has enough resolution to be printed on a building!

I downloaded the original, and enhanced it then added some annotations to clarify the towers you were wondering about, and here it is:

This is a resized version, the original was too large to be uploaded, so I've split it into 2 parts. Follow the links to see the large version. (courtesy of Debraj, enhanced by me)
Part 1
Part 2

The projects:

1- Saifi Crown
2- Sky Gate
3- FAL Towers
4- Beirut Heights
5- Rizk Tower
6- Ashrafieh Tower
7- Zenith Tower
8- L'Armonial
9- Le Patio
10- Sama Beirut (the crane)
11- Hugo 43
12- Rudamas
13- Mazraa 929
14- Burj Kronfol

I have some incoming updates that have been waiting to be posted for some time now. I'm lacking the free time (and the enthusiasm) to post them, but I hope to be able to post tomorrow. (No Ashrafieh updates waiting, so don't get too excited Gui.. However, I may get some soon, so feel free to get excited! lol)

btw.. does anyone know where does everyone get a picture of the skyline form the top? like i've seen so many pictures form this angle, does anyone know where this angle is from?? i'm betting at night the pictures from the top are gonna be fantastic.. or at least once the skyline is completed in a couple of years.

Hi,

I was in Beirut and Aschrafieh last week (no time to take pictures).

The Sama building was about 10-15m above the ground and Skygate about 30-40m. A lot of activities and workers....

LOL.. Thanks for the lovely cheerleaders man! However, the lack of enthusiasm is due to the local circumstances, where going to a photoshoot for projects' updates is becoming less important each day...

Don't worry, I won't give up on you, and I will try to stay loyal to the "Beirut reporter" post that I'm honored with! (:

Beirut and Bay towers were never intended to be separated. Actually, they were designed to complement each others and form a large single tower. Without being aware that they were built separately, anyone would consider them one building.

I've made a detailed technical study about them in April 2011. I may post it here if there's interest..

Actually Gaj there are several U/C towers that haven't reached ground level yet, and that I didn't mention in the annotation;

Between mark 12 and 13, there are a couple, namely a 26+ floor tower called B&B Tower, and the Empire Tower which, although no more than 16 floors, but will stand out due to the low rise nature of the area. I will start them threads later..

Between 2 and 3, there are 2 HUGE towers on their way; Abdel Wahab 618 and 20|30. Sursock Yards will also be visible slightly to the left of mark 1...

--

Updates are on their way, stay tuned... (No Ashrafieh for you Gaj today, sorry..)

WOW those are some tall towers coming up zippo.. and B&B and the Empire I am looking forward to seeing what they look like.. I can't wait to be back in beirut and see everything completed.. I am loving the fact that fugly rizk tower is not that much in the picture anymore since its going to be surrounded by great looking towers all around.. i'm loving how the whole thing is shaping actually.. now all we need is a some 200+ meters towers and one 300+meters tower.. and achrafieh will have the best skyline ever..
and since i am from achrafieh I am very proud of how its shaping…
