I think this will be finished in a long term, but for now there isn't much news.

Nonetheless over the past months there was some events related to this building:
1) It will now contain Boris Yeltsin's cultural center. In march 2011 his statue was set nearby.

A little bit of trivia - the statue was nicknamed by local folks as "chalk of fate"

2) The highrise building was set on fire for about a couple of days ago in the early morning. I personally think that it most likely happened due to lack of security.
