The tower itself is really good, the only thing that struck me is that it looks shorter than its real height. I'd say a 190 meters tall tower.

I saw this tower on the weekend whilst in Wroclaw, well, you can't miss it, it really does tower over the city. With a few friends it could develop into a really nice Canary Wharf style cluster I think around that bit of town.

I love it when there is just one tall structure in a low rise town, dominating over everything, just like in my city, (but it's a chimney, not a skyscraper)

Wroclaw or better known as Breslau is a 600,000 inhabitants city with a great historical heritage both from German and Polish people, this tower is very nice , I like it.

1. Better known as Wratislavia, "Breslau" is german phonetic form of polish "Wrocław". Every city or village in Śląsk (Silesia) has its german name taken from polish language (these places had none german roots, only slavic, so had their names);

2. Historical heritage comes also from Austria and Bohemia.

For now, the only part accesible for people is shopping gallery in podium. The tower will be opened by the end of the year and the observation deck will probably be opened next year.

In polish W is English V (venom), C is something like tz (tzar), and Ł is English W (water).

When the city was established around 1100 years ago it was called Wrotizla, then it moved from Polish hands to Chechs and changed the name to Vretzlav, the was overtaken by Austrian Hapsburgs and became Presslau, than German Prussians took it over and renamed it Breslau. And finally after WWII city came back to Poland after 650 years and became Wrocław.
