Its great that a highly underapprecipated stretch of George Street will be getting some towers it truely deserves. This is the part of George Street that is meant to have the best buildings.

Did anyone read the article on 1 Bligh st Sydney on SMH?

In the gallery, there's an awesome shot of that building along with the rest of the skyline & I though it was one of the best pic of Syd's density.

Here's the link to the article

and the gallery http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/e...electedImage=3

At the intersection of King and George St, Sydney.

Sydney has many great street intersections where you really get the sense you are in a big, bustling metropolis.

Normally I don't stop to take photos while I'm out and about, but I couldn't resist today since I pass here so many times.

That's the old Carlton United Brewery.

It is going to be reused with ground level bars/cafes/restaurants and the rest of the building will feature commercial and community space.

Sydney:

View from behind Queen Victoria's bottom plaza south end of QVB, looking south down George Street.

View of Queen Victoria's bottom looking east to Park Street.

View north from Phillip Street near Hunter.
Sydney getting almost Baroque with all those curves.

Two giants of British architecture, Rogers & Foster, side by side in Sydney.

L_R: lovely bit of Art Deco - Foster - Rogers - 1990s' Error.

A little suburban density:

Victoria Park, Zetland, Sydney.

Defries Avenue looking north.

Moving further north on Defries.

And a bit further north toward Hutchinson Walk.

Interestingly, there is another bridge completely blocked by the balloon. The Kurilpa.
