Timothy Bradley should be 'man enough' to surrender belt to Manny Pacquiao
http://www.interaksyon.com/article/3...-lawmaker-says Boxer Timothy Bradley should be man enough to surrender the championship belt which does not rightfully belong to him now that the World Boxing Organization (WBO) released the result of a review that said Manny Pacquiao should have won the match. The WBO decision vindicated Pacquaio against those doubting his talent in the ring. He said it should also put an end to debates on who won the fight with Bradley. A WBO review of the controversial bout concluded that the Filipino boxing icon should have been given the belt. James Slater of Eastsideboxing.com reported on Thursday that “the five officials, from all over the world, sat down and viewed a video of the fight earlier this week. Not surprisingly, considering the fact that most fans and experts had Pacquiao winning big over the unbeaten Bradley, all 5 WBO judges re-scored the fight for Pac-Man--and they scored it big for Manny." |

After ‘winning’ in WBO review, Pacquiao eyes rematch with Bradley
Interaksyon http://www.interaksyon.com/interaktv...h-with-bradley Manny Pacquiao wants a rematch against undefeated American fighter Timothy Bradley after a World Boxing Organization review panel revealed that the Filipino ring icon won their match last June 9. The Associated Press is reporting that Pacquiao would rather have a rematch with Bradley instead of taking the WBO welterweight title. The WBO tapped five international boxing experts to review the fight, and all of them scored it for Pacquiao. But it had made clear that regardless of the panel’s finding, it cannot overturn the official result the Pacquiao-Bradley fight: a controversial split decision for Bradley. In an earlier interview, Pacquiao said that he is looking to knock out Bradley in a rematch to prevent judges from affecting the outcome of the match. |

WBO's unanimous decision for PACQUIAO! WBO scores fight for Pacquiao Published June 21, 2012 Sports Network Manila, Philippines – The World Boxing Organization said five judges on a review panel all had Manny Pacquiao winning his fight against Timothy Bradley earlier this month. Bradley was given a victory via controversial split decision over Pacquiao on June 9 in Las Vegas, but afterward there was an inquiry called by Bob Arum, the promoter for both fighters, into the scores. The five judges on the WBO panel had the fight scored 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113. The WBO cannot reverse the decision of the fight. Judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross each scored it 115-113 in favor of Bradley, while Jerry Roth totaled it 115-113 for Pacquiao. Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/0...#ixzz1yPPjINU2

in the latest Forbes Top 100 Money-Making Athletes , Mayweather and MP are 1-2, but Flloyd has earned 20 Million + more than the second placer Manny...why? because he promotes his own fight and he eliminated the middle-men. If MP is savvy enough to survive in its own, he should dump Arum and make all his fights All-MP promotions. |

Looks likely the WBO title belt will be fought for instead of defended by Bradley.
Bradley to Pacquiao: I’ll make the WBO title vacant so we can fight for it By Chris Williams Boxing News 24 http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/06/...-fight-for-it/ WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley says he’s willing to vacate his World Boxing Organization 147 pound title and have that title on the line for a rematch against Manny Pacquiao if he doesn’t like the idea of Bradley having the title in his possession. Bradley’s amused by all of Pacquiao’s fans who are wanting him to either give the title back to Pacquiao or have him it stripped from him because they think he doesn’t deserve it. Bradley says he’s not giving anything back, because he earned it in the ring. But he does want to give Pacquiao a chance to try and get it back in a rematch if he’s game. Bradley said to mydesert.com “Let’s do it. Let’s do the rematch. Let’s put the belt vacant, and let’s fight for the belt.” That sounds interesting but I wouldn’t go counting on it happening if I was Bradley. He gave Pacquiao a taste of what it’s like to be out-boxed and I don’t think Pacquiao wants another taste of that bitter experience. Fighting with two bad feet, Bradley had Pacquiao missing badly and stumbling around like he had his shoelaces tied. It was sad, because you could see how visibly faded Pacquiao has become. I saw the age in his recent fights, but Bradley really brought it out front and center for the entire world to see. Bradley realizes that Pacquiao’s fans are traumatized by his loss, and some of them don’t know how to deal with it. Bradley said “A lot of people are upset because they lost a lot of money.” Very true. I think a lot of people lost a big cash by betting on Pacquiao and ending up with nothing. They should have scouted out his recent fights a little better because they would have seen what I saw in him. Pacquiao is getting old and you can’t count on him winning for sure anymore unless Arum drags out guys like Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto for Pacquiao to look good against. Those guys are all stationary fighters and made to order for Pacquiao. |

since pacquiao wants a rematch, then a rematch it is. but from a boxing purists' stand point, a rematch is only warranted if the outcome is too close to call for either boxer or if the fight is justifiably a draw. the case with pacquiao and bradley is not even a close one. objectively, if even if one is generous towards bradley, he got 4 rounds at the most as against pacquiao's 7 rounds won. one round could be either be a draw or is in pacquiao's favor. from a boxing purists' standpoint, a 4th match (3rd rematch overall) between marquez and pacquaio is a more deserving undertaking. but knowing the dirty and hurt business that boxing is, it's still gonna be a bradley vs pacquiao rematch. besides, that's what paquiao wants. for the rematch though, i hope this time, he'll floor bradley. if only pacquaio wasn't too lazy chasing and cutting corners with bradley and wasn't too friendly with him inside the ring, he would have knocked bradley out. bradley was clearly staggered from the 4th to the 8th rounds. this is not to mention that the 3rd round was clearly won by pacquiao, as well as the uneventful 9th round. from the 9th round to the 12th, pacquiao eased up on the backtracking bradley who continued to throw credible jabs despite being in a defensive bicycle. one could give the 10th round to bradley and for the slimmer of margins, the 1th round. the final round could fairly be called a draw. these appraisals by rounds would give pacman 7 rounds as against bradley's 4 with 1 round as a draw.this is not to mention the more numerous and more rattling power punches landed by the pacman. in other words, there's just no way that the scores would have been scored that gave bradley that infamous and undeserving victory. still, that's as far as generosity in judging for bradley could go. judging by rounds, most experts had it 9-3 or 8-4, all in favor of pacquiao. bradley doesn't deserve to win additional millions because he doesn't deserve a rematch. oh well, the pacman has spoken! and please, this time, finish him off! Hopefully Donaire will unify all the titles in the division and become the undisputed champion before moving up a division. It just that these boxing organizations create so many world titles per division. Everything from champion emeritus to super champion to regular champion etc.
