If anything, the new technologies we have developed not only allow us to develop structures that are efficient yet allow varied forms, especially that of past periods. It now allows us to take styles from the past and then transform them into grand creations inconceivable to the developers of the time. Most art involves taking elements from the past, and architecture is no different. The key is not simply copying and going through the motions, but taking that core value, adding some original flavor, and turning into something wondrous.
