Dear Experts,

I am Jason from Muar. Anybodies know if there are any future developments in Muar ?

It seems there are a lot of development constructions to make Melaka into a very advanced and fast growing central place of commercial hub, entertainment and tourism hotspot, very much credits shall be given to Dato Mohd Ali,

But I couldn't find any big constructions for Muar ?

Any news and future ?

I cannot agree with you anymore, current developments in Muar is Sooo slow, cannot compare to Melaka AT ALL..

The top three biggest constructions project in Muar right now is that builiding at Jalan Ibrahim (refer top pic) and the Sierra Maharani project near the AMJ Highway, PLUS Higway exit also now u/c at Bukit gambir.

Location is another thing which makes the progress in Muar to be slow.

Unlike Batu Pahat, Kluang and Segamat which are the only major town in each district = no competition, Muar on teh other hand, needs to compete with Tangkak and Bukit Gambir . Not to mention Melaka & BP as well as Segamat . With all these competitions, it is quite hard actually to attract things like AEON or SP Setia to invest in Muar . But still, if our MB n TPM do their works at least a little bit more , i personally believe Muar can be on par with Kluang/BP.

well, there's
1)a giant university hub (whatever it is) in pagoh.
2)muar riverfront flood protection have been postponed by the fed due to lack of fund
3)there's KPJ hospital u/c

that all folks, most johor MB are from muar so, its not just the current MB fault..it the combo of them combined!!!..thing the MB said that has not come true

1)beca sg kesang is now officially abandon,no stall is open at all!!!.. while across the river tgh mcm pesta
2)a 2nd tg emas park across the river where the 2nd mosque is never is build
3)relocation of goverment building to the seafront also not build
4)well, they can't even build themself a ikan bakar food court that they promise all that while ago, what else other stuff
5) old TM building are supposed to be a museum,


heard from an UMNO folks,its hard for them to do stuff because unlike other johor town,

1)muar land is make up by tiny owners so to build up mass taman like elsewhere is hard
2)land surronding muar are mostly kebun,unlike other part of johor where the palm oil money comes roling in
3)fengshui also bad, wide open river mouth, narrow river, money flow out,not in
4)tersepit celah gantang, antara melaka and BP, most muar folks just go ride themself there, so no need for private investor to come in,there just build it elsewhere and muarian would drove/ride bus themself.due to AMJ u can get into melaka in 20minits,. AMJ is also the fastest highway i even drove on,mengalahkan PLUS.. people will drive at a minimum 130km/h
5)no, well nothing!, nothing is build to get people to come in!, there's no port,no attraction, historical site are unpromoted and unknown off to general public, theres no special economic zone,no science whatever park, no IPTS, no UNI, no politeknik no kolej komuniti (most muarian are send to merlimau instead)

someone told me even the CIQ to indon also stop operating.MYDin are rumored to build somewhere along AMJ,near the 2nd bridge..maybe its is postponed,as they are building one in jasin instead.

Muar is totally incomparable to Melaka, in my own opinion, being on a scale of 2 compare to 8 of melaka out of 10, too huge difference between Muar and Melaka developments.

Melaka is a very Successful State in terms of Developments.

This is just to compare Muar and Melaka, Don mention comparing to big cities like Singapore.

Not sure when is the completion date but the constructions started last year I think. The problem is, they use the old primitive method to build this thing.. No tower crane u see. That;s why it's so slow.

Trying to become like Melaka is too much la. Other capital cities like Alor Star/Kota Bharu/KualaTerengganu/Kuantan/Ipoh pon can't even beat Melaka. To me, Melaka is just a level or two below JB.

Muar realistic target is to become like BP or Kluang at most.

Its not a target..bcoz muar lost her place to bp/kluang.haha..johor 2nd town..is now down to 4th place..heck she might even lost to kota tinggi if not carefull!!..

But as a town..for me it heck lots better to be living here than say seremban,AS,KT,kuantan.

Huh? why do you prefer Muar over Seremban/as/kt or even Kuantan? I dont know.. but cant agree on that. Muar has ZERO entertainment value, ZERO lepaking place, the town is congested 24/7. the only thing good is Tanjung and mee bandung.

Rasanya Muar dah no 5 la bang.. JB , BP, Kluang, Segamat, Muar, Kota Tinggi, Pontian, Mersing. Segamat dah potong Muar. sebab Segamat dah ade 1 Segamat Mall, KipMart, Giant. Banyak jugak projek2 besar kat segamat sekarang ni. Area Kipmart n 1 segamat bnyk pembinaan.

Jangan risau.. bro daeng_jal tu main2 je kot.. dah pernah pergi dah semua bandar2 yg awak sebut tu. Paling style Kuantan and KT la. Seremban dengan AS tu macam fight2 je. tapi semua lagi best dari Muar.

KT is a good place with nice cityscape but as also zero entertainment like MUAR as said by the forumer..Kuantan, Seremban, macam fight lebih kurang je tiga2 bandar ni

Sigh....., developments in Muar is terribly slow..... not moving at all..... cannot compare to Melaka., totally out,... POOR entertainment, POOR Big Tourism Sites, POOR Big Hypermarkets, POOR Scenic Views ( Compare to Melaka ), ... ZERO public Swimming (20 years ago got) , ZERO skating park, Traveling from Muar to Melaka by car, the petrol costs me quite a lot if go there frequently, once working there everyday back Muar costs me RM450 of petrol costs per month..... Sigh...

Walaupon as/kt/kuantan lagi cara dr muau..tpi u are stuck with it..the nearest big town is 160-220km away..

Muar is arounf 50km dr mlk,bp,segamat..ok per!!..kureng ckit boringnye..klo prnh ddk KV.50KM ni dkt jerk.

Psl seremban..hush!!! it an expensive town to eat..rumah sewa/beli murahlah.tpi mkn.mmg kalah kl harganya.xjumpe lgi port mkn murah..even nk mkn mahal pon xbyk tmpt...entertainment is so so..lepaking place also tarak..dkt dgn kl,pd(pantai),klia..tpi kne byr tol lh nk pegi..trunk road dr seremban ke bndr lain mmg menyeramkan dan gelap..
