Jurmala, Anaklia sign fraternity agreement

Georgia`s resort city of Anaklia has signed fraternity agreement with Latvian resort city of Jurmala - the agreement was signed in Latvia today, to which Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is paying a two-day official visit.
Mikheil Saakashvili visited Jurmala Boulevard together with the mayor of the city Gatis Truskni and viewed the coast infrastructure of the boulevard. Mayor and the president discussed prospects of implementing joint projects in Anaklia. Jurmala mayor said Latvian investors were willing to make investments in Anaklia and construct hotels in the new resort city of Georgia.
President met with the mayor of Jurmala and discussed the issues of attracting Latvian investors to Anaklia.

Valdas Adamkus Boulevard opens in Georgia`s Black Sea town

A boulevard named after Valdas Adamkus, the former president of Lithuania opened in Georgia`s Black Sea town of Anaklia today. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened the boulevard with Mr. Adamkus.
National folk dances and songs of Georgia and Lithuania were performed at the opening ceremony.
The president and the former leader of Lithuania delivered their speeches at the ceremony.
Mikheil Saakashvili in his speech stressed the business-like as well as friendly relations between the two countries; he recalled the great support Lithuania expressed for Georgia during the Russia-Georgia war in 2008.
Valdas Adamkus in his speech underlined the reforms, which have been carried out in Georgia in the recent years.

Строить гостиницы в Анаклии возможно будут американцы и индийцы

По заявлению директора Национального инвестиционного агентства Грузии Кети Бочоришвили, в туристической зоне Анаклии гостиницы,возможно, построят американцы и индийцы.

По сообщению информационного агентства "Пирвели", на данный момент ведутся переговоры с потенциальными инвесторами.

По заявлению Бочоришвили, в Анаклии две гостиницы уже построены и идет строительство еще трех.

Следует отметить, что на строительство одной гостиницы в среднем требуется 5-10 миллионов долларов. Кроме того, по заявлению директора Национального инвестиционного агентства, в туристической зоне Анаклия уже проложены дороги, обустроен бульвар и построен амфитеатр, в нынешнем году ко всему добавится аквапарк.

Construction of hotel complex starts in Black Sea resort Anaklia

The Georgian Economy Ministry has signed an agreement with an Indian company, which owns hotels in many countries, on construction of a new hotel complex in Georgia`s Black Sea resort of Anaklia.
The project has been designed by India`s leading architects.
The construction is expected to start in October 2012 and last until fall 2014. Mostly locals will be employed at the construction.
USD 10 million-investment will be put into the project, which plans construction of 54 hotel rooms, 98 cottages, among them 8 on Enguri River at Georgia`s breakaway region of Abkhazia.
The complex will also include a lagoon-type artificial lake and various pools, a unique spa center, restaurants, bars, night-clubs, a casino, tennis courts, children`s playgrounds.
The new complex is expected to attract more visitors to the Black Sea resort.

Инфраструктурное развитие Анаклия будет продолжено

О продолжении начатых в Анаклия проектов говорил министр регионального развития и инфраструктуры Грузии Давид Нармания при посещении Анаклия и Ганмухури.

«В Анаклия осуществим три основных проекта. Это водоснабжение, в связи с чем будет объявлен новый тендер, ибо ранее объявленный тендер был проведен с процедурными нарушениями.

Строительство дорог. В связи с этим мы обратились к той компании, которая осуществляла здесь строительные работы, чтобы возобновить их в ближайшее время, в противном случае, нам придется разорвать соглашение.

Третий проект - берегоукрепительные работы, которые финансирует Азиатский банк развития. В проекте произошло уточнение, чтобы он не совпал с интересной для порта Анаклии территорией», - заявил министр.

Он также отметил, что государство не профинансирует строительство частных гостиниц.

Берегоукрепительный проект подготовит южнокорейская компания «Дохва». По заявлению ее менеджера Ионга Джун Чоя, в результате проведения работ, побережью не будет наноситься ущерб в результате сильных штормов.
