وكشفت جولة «المدينة» على مواقع المشروع صباح امس ان العمل في التوسعة بدأ بالتشطيبات الداخلية للمشروع واستكمال الاعمال الانشائية في المساطب والجسور والمرافق الملحقة إضافة الى دورات المياه في الساحات الشمالية والجنوبية.
من جانبه قال نائب الرئيس العام لشؤون المسجد الحرام الدكتور محمد بن ناصرالخزيم: إن الخطى تتسارع في العمل الآن على مدار الساعة في مشروع توسعة الملك عبدالله للمسجد الحرام مشيرا الى انها تشمل أحدث وأرقى النظم الكهربائية والميكانيكية على الطراز المعماري الحالي للمسجد الحرام
