Situated in one of the most industrialized towns of Tamil Nadu, Fun Republic in Coimbatore has already scored points with its choice of location. The Avinashi Road connects South India’s textile capital with yet another fabric fort – the town of Tirupur, and pretty much has the entertainment and leisure opportunities covered between the two cities.

Given the leisure profile of the road, the project was conceived by acquiring an east-facing 3.5 acre plot, formerly owned by the National Textile Corporation (NTC). This 3, 25, 000 sq. ft. (leasable area) project, with anchors like Shoppers Stop and Fun Cinemas already aboard, has a large frontage of 240 feet with an access road that is 150 feet wide.

The project would commence during the third quarter of 2012 and has been strategically laid out to provide frontage to each shop from the atrium. Built across six levels with a 15000 sq. ft. atrium, the body of the mall has been aligned to specific learning of the retailers emerged during the last decade.

No anchor stores lik rmkv ...all international brands ! Lik shopers stop,Westside,reliance,max,pantaloon,etc....

I think the anchor store of fun mall would be Shoppers' stop.( I guess)

What is the status of Cheran Towers, anyone visited recently?

Once upon a time it was Singapore plaze, Laxmi plaza in Crosscut and Rajeswari towers in the junction (which was jaded from the go).

Patronage in Brooke fields and Fun republic will decide more malls to come...

Pathetic !!! .... most of the shops empty..only lower ground floor has some shops selling clothes, novelties and other stuff...... i could remember standing on the escalator and turning my head towards the fountain they had..when i was a kid.... The first shopping centre in CBE has lost its glory now, i would say

sad, i used to go with my dad and my brother once upon a time. They should build something like office-space, seasonal sales , Expos or reduce the rent etc ....there should be a way to bring the crowd.

cant blame the location....is it because its a bad design/ bad management?
