5 km is the length of the distance between Shah Faisal roundabout and singer chowrangi. And the bridge is only 1.60 km long.

OMI i think we have missed the "Liaquatabad Flyover" on Shahrah-e-Pakistan in Karachi. I travelled on that and it's very big. From google map path measure it's lenght comes out to 1.80 Kms. Check it on google Earth.

Just an observation. Surroundings of all these flyovers looks very dirty (no landscaping, garbage everywhere, posters, writing on pillare, beggars, street hawkers etc).Seems like no maintenance at all.

Very common. I call it the "kachara culture". Local population is not interested in common area maintenance. Municipalities and local officials budget for capital expenditure but O&M is never as "sexy" and doesn't win votes or help with kickbacks as much or allow for cool ribbon-cutting/dua ceremonies. Also, I mentioned the 10% rule in another thread: once 90% is done, it's hard to ever get the last 10% done.

Jinnah Flyover, Karachi - 1416 meters.






ONLY the purple & red part is Jinnah Flyover, rest of part over water & circular part is jinnah bridge.
Flyover moves on top from MT Khan road towards people stadium Lyari whereas bridge is circular and moves towards kemari over water.

I never knew this, one of the oldest flyover in Karachi and i got proper info today. So it's the 4th longest.
