![]() Ev, I was joking my friend! I know you like my style, the same way I like a lot your designs! Because your designs are awesome. The differences in your design is one of your best quality! That's a thing hard to achieve and you have made it! You are like a chameleon that can fit and make things new!! It's one of the best quality that an architect could have! And beyond that you had evolving so much in the last years! Making one of the most real construction sites ever! Of corse I like your works! and I'm deeply appreciated for you made my designs real and even awesomer! I was just trying to chill out the thread, and you! Wasn't my intention to get mad! ![]()

I'm not angry, I just can't understand some things.
I have almost no time to make their models - I spend on updating of one model 2 hours!... I lowered my pace because the model became more complex, it became more detailed, more angles, more changes in the facades. Ok, good thryve, but you need to remove this dark color, it is not interesting, all doing uninteresting model. Add white, green, yellow, orange. I can do for you specifically sketch of the box, with an interesting facade...

I don't use lots of colours just for the sake of it... that's just not my style. I appreciate being given advice and constructive criticism, but telling me to change my entire style is something different. You and I simply have different approaches to design, and that's a good thing. Diversity of ideas/ styles is good!
Also, the reason that project above doesn't use all sorts of different colours is because in real life, those details are provided by trees, streetlights, retail signage, etc. etc... and that's enough clutter IMO. Also, I've designed it so that the red brick facades "jump out" at your eyes, and the darker areas recess. The light grey/silver cladding add accents. Squint and look at the image and you'll see what I mean. The red brick sections "pop" and the rest fades out. Anyways, no more cluttering up this thread, guys! If you'd like, create a thread for architectural design discussion/debates. Thanks!

Truely stunning work mate. Especially that CITYblock design, excellent use of geometry.
Just a question, do you plan your buildings by floorplan? Or are you designing on the aethetic look only? |

Some buildings I've designed from the inside out and put more work into the program and functionality than anything. Admittedly, the CITYblock project started out as a theoretical (urban family living) and aesthetic experiment, but I would love to redesign it on an architectural software in the near future once I learn to use them, and sort out the interior spaces.
Thanks for the compliment as well... I'm really excited to see the CITYblock concept recorded in 3D form. It's turned out exactly as I had envisioned it.
