There was a picture of a Ryugyong model posted about half a year ago or more in this thread... In the background there were some small pictures of the superstructure's actual construction. They were very small and blurry, however.
Apparently, in the earlier stages, the core was built up before the wings instead of all at once.

But finding any construction pics is about as rare as finding a diamond!

I know what you mean about it not being 'real', those lights in the top left look slighly off... its like their too regular or something...

Maybe if they doctored it with a yellow that wasn't so bright, they could've gotten away with it.
