Actually I use one of the auto modes most of the time, but the ISO stays usually to 200. I know that a smaller ISO will result in less noise but I'm getting noise also on daytime pics.

Dunno if I really need it but I bought a lens hood for the Canon EF-S 10-22mm. It was just 55 AED.

My noise problem is definitely a settings problem. I have been usually using the Landscape setting for night shots and today I noticed that the setting will fix the ISO at 800

I tried with Aperture Priority fixed to F8.0 and ISO100. Below are the original shot (resized) and a 100% size crop from that same shot. No flash was used and the exposure time was 20 sec. As you can see there is no visible noise.

Apart the resize of the first shot, there is absolutely no other adjustment done in post-processing.

PS. Yeah, the WM's drum was the most interesting place I could found to photograph

I noticed that the camera now takes way to long to process the shot, which wasn't the case before.

I also think a new set of adjustements settings was added on the camera menu, I doubt they were there and I had missed or don't remember to have seen them earlier.

Why is the UAE section lacking in photos of their cities? It's not like other sections because in here everything is just updates about some projects, and then the odd photo of a contruction site.

Nobody is ever posting photos of the actual cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc. There is nothing of the UAE in the 'Cityscapes and Skyline' or 'Urban Showcase' sections either.

Why is this? I think it would be so interesting to see the real UAE...
