Corrupt politicos go for bling-bling, foreign funded (used to be foreign aid; both involve foreign travel) projects with lots of TV face time, chai paani, patronage and loot for all. Public and public debt be damned.
As usual, it's a mixed bag of fun this India infra. trip. Personally, I prefer an immediate, scalable, modular approach. Amdavad started with BRT. In Delhi-Mumbai they tend to rip the whole place apart.

A completely nonsensical post.
The new airports that are being built in India are very much needed and are not simply "refurbishing". For example the New Delhi airport was ranked number two in the entire world this year. None of India's infrastructure projects is based on "foreign aid".
