There is a new project called Pagcor Redevelopment Phase1 (New Nayong Pilipino) , just don't know kung saan yon sa map. Maybe the lot area between Solaire and RWB. It consists of Hotel, Retail and Office. Can somebody find the location?

The mall/leisure complex looks exciting with the blue glass roof almost twice as big as the floor plate of the hotel. The glass roof might be similar to RW Manila but bigger. I also noticed the huge circular water feauture at the entrance of the complex , hope it similar in scale with Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas.

I think this Pagcor Redevelopment Phase 1 that I mentioned, is the Bayshore City itself because the developers were Tiger Resorts, Bloomberyy and Pagcor. But this is not only owned by Resorts World.

good for you and your clients but having a theme park is more profitable than a business of residential properties. the real beneficiaries are the sellers and the buyers nothing more nothing less. a theme park such as the bagong nayong pilipino park signifies our cultural heritage and can serve as a portal for tourists to travel the actual attractions in our philippines. theme park is a long term business unlike the business of residential properties which only benefits the buyer and the seller, no tourist would ever visit a residential property

that's what I am afraid of...boring malls, another Opera House, casinos again. been there, done that...what about THEME PARKS ?? kung may 1 trillion lang ako ako nalang sana nagpatayo ng theme park sa Pagcor city eh

Grand Opera House to rise in Manila
MANILA, Philippines - Megaworld Corporation chairman and president Andrew Tan recently toured Europe and the continent’s landmark opera houses to firm up plans for his new Grand Opera House project in the upcoming Resorts World Bayshore (RWB) City in Pagcor Entertainment City Manila.

The Grand Opera House will be an even bigger venue than Resorts World Manila’s Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) with a capacity close to 2,500. And as can be expected, the Grand Opera House is set to make technical leaps over the NPAT.

“But beyond the lighting, sound effects and technology, it is still talent that carries a production through. The talent pool in the Philippines is huge. The performing arts is one area where the Filipino has succeeded for decades,” says Tan. “Considering that NPAT and the Grand Opera House are located in two of the country’s world-class integrated tourism estates, Filipino talent will definitely feel at home in the world stage.”

yes, nabasa ko na ito, this is old news. Nothing to get excited about this Opera house, good for the Filipino performers they'll get jobs but do we really need an Opera House ? there's already the Cultural Center of the Philippines that serves up operatic performances. What we really need at Pagcor city is a world-class theme park...Star City won't cut it, Enchanted Kingdom is too far away, what we need at Pagcor city are the likes of a signature theme park like Disneyland, Universal Studios or a Warner Bros. theme park., (yeah I know that Universal Studios Singapore has signed a contract with Univerasl Studios preventing the building of another Universal Studios within South East Asia in a duration up to 30 years)

There shouldn't even be an argument between an Opera House and a Theme Park. They're not of the same level.

this is all about business, the investors will put their money on projects which will give them better returns, and they don't decide at a snap of a finger, studies are done...

theres no more power interruption especialy at the paranaque area, your reasoning is clearly trapped in the 1990s when power interruptions were the norm, my brother lives in paranaque and i can assure you theres no power interruption for years

and all you think of is business, and obviously you don't a family that enjoys a theme park a dull life

the way you reasoned out...the issue is not about casinos vs. theme park. I am NOT against casinos, what i am driving at is that there should be a theme park at Pagcor city in a sea of casinos. the parents enjoyng the casino (me for one) and the kids at the theme park while they wait for their mommies and daddies who are busy inside the casino

Fyi, Hong Kong Disneyland is on a loosing streak now. If it's actually growing, they should have expanded and not build another in Shanghai.

That was part of the initial plan and i still hope na mabalik at marealize to. Night racing along with the casino lights is just as superb as i can imagine. Strobe lights will guide them.

Correct. Don't push too hard on the theme park. The business model does not fit the current economic condition by far. If a world-class brand like Disneyland HK is losing money, how much more if another big time park is opened in the PHL and in the same geographical location (read: Asia) at that?
