Anyone deciding to sell their unit would be advised to include a disclaimer on the apartment size stating that the size is that quoted in the SPA and no warranty is given on the accuracy of this information. Otherwise you might find yourself in court and ordered to pay compensation for miss representing or miss selling.

What happened to the story about RERA measuring all the apartments?

We cant see any clause in the addendum that states you cannot take legal action but hopefully this wont be required as RERA are supposed to act together with the developer but we will do whatever is necessary and there will be lots of us making sure we dont get short changed any more. Quite simply, enough is enough

This could well be correct. It seems to me that there is a big difference in the lay-out of these types of apartment between the published floor plans and the completed units.

In particular, it would appear that some of the area oiginally allocated for these units (e.g. the guest bathroom) has instead been integrated into the next door studio apartments.

Yes if the addendum includes the buyers release as it did for the Torch.

You dont need residency for a bank account in Dubai. You can have an online bank account set up in Dubai as many have already done.

You will be stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea concerning the addendum. If you dont sign, they wont give you handover and you will have to go legal. I'm afraid you are not dealing with a customer orientated company here. Their behaviour to owners has been nothing short of a disgrace and continues to be so during the handover process. How they get away with issuing a completion notice last December when some floors and many apartments are still not ready will remain one of life's mysteries....

Landscaping looks good around the pool and podium , also good progress of the hotel, I think cladding will be ready this year.

Not sure TB but i know someone had a 3 bed measured very recently and it's about 15% less than SPA - in typical fashion no doubt SG will contest that also - think they have picked on someone who has a bit cash ton take them on though - usually people capitulate and sign up to shit but tides just may be turning ?
