Big John is an imposing monolith of a building. It just hulks there and is so distinct. The bracing and the overall look have really grown on me through the years. The height is very impressive for a building of that age. I would give it a 9.5 if not for the antenna which I think are ugly so I deducted a half point (although the double antenna probably look better than a single one would).

This building is a perfect example of beautiful simplicity! So simple in design, but the materials, the paint, the design, everything works together so harmoniously to create what I think is in the top 10 most beautiful skyscrapers there are.

It's one of most famous landmarks in the city where the skyscraper was born, so it deserves at least 9.5/10.

Incredible architecture, the combination of this, the Sears tower, the trump tower, and the aon tower, is the reason chicago has one of the best, if not the best, skyline in the world. This and the Sears are both a 10.
